At present, all preparatory work has been basically completed.I. General informationThis year’s CSITF upholds the principles of “innovation-driven development, intellectual property protection, and the promotion of technology trade,” with the theme: “Open Cooperation: Empowering New Quality Productive Forces and Sustainable Development.” The fair will feature a theme pavilion, a provincial exhibition area, and four specialized technology zones covering commercial cryptography and digital manufacturing, green energy and logistics, intelligent marine engineering and equipment, as well as consumer and commercial technologies. In addition, there will be two functional areas dedicated to technology trading services and promotional activities. Spanning a total of 35,000 square meters, the fair will showcase innovations from nearly 20 countries and regions, along with contributions from nearly 20 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across China. Around 1,000 companies are expected to participate. Glasgow will serve as the overseas guest city of honor, while Shenzhen will be the domestic guest city of honor. The fair will include an opening ceremony, three themed day events, and nearly 60 supporting activities. Highlights include a China-UK technology matchmaking event on Glasgow Day, a corporate technology showcase on Shenzhen Day, and the annual meeting of the UNIDO Investment and Technology Promotion Offices on the UNIDO Day. On Intellectual Property Day, a briefing on the current state of IP will be held, along with a series of supporting events focused on building a robust ecosystem for technology trade.II. Main characteristicsFirst, a stronger focus on technology. The event will showcase a range of collaborative R&D outcomes from the Yangtze River Delta, along with breakthroughs in core technologies across key sectors. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will present cutting-edge innovations in fields such as interactive robotics and genetic testing equipment. For the first time, dedicated exhibition zones for intelligent marine engineering and equipment, as well as consumer and commercial technologies, will be introduced — highlighting Shanghai’s industrial strengths and leadership. Additional exhibits will feature progress in areas like productive Internet service platforms and green trade chains.Second, a more specialized exhibition layout. To align with Shanghai’s strategic focus on emerging industries and future growth sectors, the fair will raise the bar in terms of professional and technical depth. Four specialized zones will be set up, including a commercial cryptography section jointly organized by Shanghai, Beijing, Shaanxi, Shandong, and Shenzhen. This area will spotlight the critical role of commercial cryptography in safeguarding cyberspace and supporting digital transformation. Other cutting-edge sectors such as embodied intelligence, the low-altitude economy, and smart shipping will also be featured, with several industry-first exhibits. Fourteen companies and institutions are expected to debut new products and technologies, including seven global or national firsts. High-quality projects in areas like energy storage, smart wearables, and digital retail will also make their first appearance at the fair.Third, deeper and more extensive international cooperation. The city of Glasgow will lead a delegation of 18 local companies specializing in shipbuilding and marine technology, smart building sensors, and wearable devices. The UNIDO will present technological innovations in carbon neutrality, sustainable materials, and green production processes. Companies from Spain, France, the United States, and other countries will also showcase projects in green energy, maritime services, and next-generation sustainable materials.Fourth, targeted supply-demand matching. A new group of industry associations and industrial parks has been added to the exhibitor and buyer network, while professional attendees across multiple sectors have been organized to visit the fair. For the first time, a three-tiered matching service has been introduced — featuring pre-event matchmaking, online real-time pairing during the fair, and on-site one-on-one negotiations. Additionally, the “CSITF Micro Portal” has launched the CSITF Agent feature, fully integrated with DeepSeek, offering AI-powered matchmaking, exhibition consultation, and intelligent information search services to exhibitors and visitors alike.Fifth, a more comprehensive service system. The technology transaction service zone brings together service providers specializing in technology management, proof of concept, intellectual property protection, talent recruitment, and legal support — highlighting investment and incubation services tailored for startups. Meanwhile, the technology transaction promotion zone will feature globally recognized technology transfer and investment incubation institutions, and host activities such as supply-demand matchmaking, project roadshows, and commercialization workshops. Leveraging the year-round public service matrix for technology trade, the fair aims to build stronger connections between exhibitors and visitors, enhancing the overall impact and effectiveness of the CSITF.
